Mission

The mission of SPHRE is to promote understanding and respect for fundamental employment human rights which include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following:

1. Freedom of Association
2. Right to Organize and Bargain Collectively
3. Prohibition of Forced Labor
4. Elimination of Exploitative Forms of Child Labor
5. Non-discrimination in Employment or Occupation

The Society affirms, in accordance with broad international consensus, that human rights are rights possessed by all people solely as a consequence of their humanity. Human rights stand above political parties, partisan groups or governments. They do not owe their existence to legislation and they cannot be eradicated by legislation. They are rights respect for which is in the interests of all parties to the employment relationship.
